Background

In the continuous casting process, the production processes such as the speed control of the continuous casting machine's billet drawing roller and the fixed-length cutting control are very sensitive to the temperature of the billet. If the temperature is too high during the billet pulling process, the billet will not be fully solidified, and the final solidification time will be much lower than the straightening roller and the local chain breakage rectification period, which may cause the production quality to decline and the billet to break; if the temperature is too low during the billet pulling process, the billet will solidify prematurely, making it difficult to plasticize and damaging the life of the production machinery. Therefore, the temperature of the billet is an important parameter that cannot be ignored in the continuous casting process.

Infrared thermal imaging thermometer is a device that converts the target temperature distribution into a visible image and an accurate temperature value by detecting the infrared radiation of the target and performing signal processing, photoelectric conversion and other means. The infrared thermal imaging thermometer accurately quantifies the actual detected heat and images the entire target in real time in the form of a surface, so it can accurately identify the real-time temperature of multi-track billets.
